[ug-bosug] Taking KDE4 to the Sun ARC!!

Hi All,

The KDE Solaris Project is taking KDE4/Nevada to the ARC.

For the non-Sun guys: To get anything into Solaris/OpenSolaris, you have to
go through the architectural review committee.

The task involved are ( speaking in very broad terms)
1)  Listing of all the Interfaces. The entire KDE4 API.
2)  a rather in-depth discussion of the architectural implications for
Solaris
3)  another in-depth discussion of the relationship between the new
components and the existing stuff in Solaris

So there's purely a documentation part.

I am taking #1. Stefan and the guys will be taking #2 and #3

Since I am working on the book, I have the most important API's already
listed and "explained".

Of course, there is a HUGE amount of work still left to be done.

Any volunteers ?

PS: Anil are we considering the DTrace/C++ session during the hackathon?
Shiv/Moinak: can we have a vote on this at the next BOSUG meet? If people
are interested it might be a nice idea!
