[ug-bosug] Static IP problem

Hi.

i am not able to connect to my server from solaris
i assigned a static ip (I tried using both inetmenu and using the
plumbing i.e., ifconfig gani0 <ip> netmask 255.255.255.0 up)....
It works on windows but not on solaris

our DHCP is down so we use static ip using which i am able to connect
to the servers

Can someone please help me out.?
