Hi BOSUG,

Installed SX b78 on my shiny new Acer Aspire 2920.

Everything worked out of the box. It was pleasant to see the laptop
connecting to the wireless network very easily.
I ran the SDDT tool ( the report is attached in this mail)

I saw two problems:
*1) * *Only kernel video driver is available. No dedicated Xorg driver
supporting graphic interface*
What does this mean?
Graphics performance is neat. I have no complaints ( I dont run compiz or
any 3D stuff)

*2) The NetLink BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express is not supported by SX

*SDDT says: ":A third party driver is available at
http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/."
Unfotunately, the page does *not* have Solaris drivers.

"ifconfig -a" gives the output:

bash-3.2# ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu 8232
index 1
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
wpi0: flags=201004843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,DHCP,IPv4,CoS> mtu 1500
index 2
        inet 10.1.1.116 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.1.1.255
        ether 0:1b:77:e2:51:43
lo0: flags=2002000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv6,VIRTUAL> mtu 8252
index 1
        inet6 ::1/128

I cant see the "bcme" driver at all..

Question: How do I get my broadcom driver working on this laptop? I can
connect via wireless, but sometimes i would need the wireless connection as
well.

Thanks
Manish
