I spent three days trying to make compiz working on my machine ( my card is
an intel X3100 , its blacklisted, long story... )

My point is, after I got compiz working, I realized that I dont need it at
all. It seems to get in my way.

Some people love it, it suits them.
I know Moinak loves it. Seen Anil using it too.

For my hacking (which is mainly fiddling with KDE4 code), I use a
minimal KDE or a very mininal JDS ( on new SX installs )
