[ug-bosug] Plea: Can anyone please help me/ lend me a box for KDE4/Solaris builds?

Hi Ananth,

I am subscribed to the kde-discuss mailing list.

I can't seem to find Adriaan's mail in my mailbox.
(May be he sent it _before_ I joined kde-discuss)

Back to the point, thanks for pointing this out, I will touch base with
Adriaan on this.

Also, Dennis Clarke said he might help me out with a machine from the
Blastwave farm; I am also awaiting his reply on this.

Thanks
Manish

Hi Manish,

Are you subscribed to the kde-solaris mailing list ?? iirc, a few
months back, Adriaan de Groot (<groot at kde.org>) was offering an
account on Sun's Netherland office machine for kde related
development. Perhaps you can contact him to create an account for
you.

I think it is a sparc machine and maybe they also have Opteron machine
that you could use.

The connection could be a bit slow (by their standards) but it seems
fast enough for me (better than dialup hehe)...

Like you, i have similar hardware constraints that makes compiling kde
a real pain... btw.. 20gb is the bare minimum... 50-100gb is more
reasonable estimate to compile and work on a specific project... im
just waiting for financial upgrade to replace my crashed hard disk
from (over?)compiling kde... :=)

Regards,
Ananth A.
