The review is pretty critical of opensolaris.

But then, this is the kind of reaction Average Joe would have if he tried
out opensolaris on his computer.

OpenSolaris is not ready for desktop use for the average user. And will not
be until Sun or the community:
1) Adds more drivers to make OSOL experience comparable to , say, Ubuntu
2) Stops shipping buggy/half baked stuff like NWAM in releases .

I dont mind if the release is called a beta and has all the NWAM issues. As
a developer , I can live with that.
If you're calling it a stable release and you want to leverage the Solaris
brand, you've got to ship stable software.
