From Jim.Grisanzio at Sun.COM Wed Oct 1 07:07:11 2008 From: Jim.Grisanzio at Sun.COM (Jim Grisanzio) Date: Wed, 01 Oct 2008 23:07:11 +0900 Subject: [ug-dfwosug] Community Simplification, Reorganization, and Infrastructure Issues Message-ID: <48E3840F.5000607@sun.com> hey ... good news. I'm pinging all the OSUG lists to update everyone about important governance and website migration issues that will come about in the next six months. All Community and Project leaders will be involved because we will be moving to a new website and a new community structure, but the OSUGs will be more directly involved. In the reorganization process, we created a new collective group called "User Groups" to hold all the OSUGs, and that will give the user groups the same status as Communities and Projects. We've discussed this many times before on many lists, but it's now going to happen. So, OSUGs will have a significantly increased profile, and that's very cool. There is nothing to do right now but to be aware that we are getting close. I'll come back when we need action.
