To:
Silicon Valley OpenSolaris User Group meeting, next Tuesday, August 30,
7:30pm
in the upstairs room of the Sun Santa Clara Campus Auditorium.
This month brings us another one of Sun's exceptional Solaris Engineers.
David
Comay will be explaining the ins and outs of Zones (Solaris Containers) to
you.
While many may consider this to be "yet another features Sun tossed into
Solaris", David will explain the power of using Zones as well as answering
your questions on any issue zones related in context.
David was one of the key engineers to work on Zones, and knows them
intimately, this will be an evening that you'll be glad you attended.
To continue with our Solaris Expert Panel, we'll also be doing a
free-for-all
Q&A after David's presentation for any and all questions Solaris
related. So
if something is bugging you, or you've always wanted to ask a question
to one
of the Solaris engineers, please feel free to show up and have these
answered
by some of Sun's best Solaris Engineers.
I would like to take the time to thank all the folks that have attended and
show interest in our user group, we continue to bring you the best in
Solaris
which we can put together. The success of our user group has been due not
only to the excellent Solaris Engineers that have showed up at this user
group meetings, but the community as well. The positive comments I receive
about these meetings are just a sign that Sun is doing the right thing. Sun
wants to continue to show you that they are fully committed to
supporting and
helping the community understand the power of Solaris, and the
incredible new
features that have gone into Solaris 10 (and continue to go in).
Don't miss this months meeting on Zones, one of the key recent additions to
