Full SATA HBA (Native mode) support is in the works. Current SATA
support in Solaris is limited to controllers operaing in a compatibility
mode - i.e. emulating generic parallel ATA interface. Most of the SATA
functionality is not available in this mode.

You can try installing the open-source network drivers by Masayuki
Murayama available at:
http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/
These add support for a lot of additional nw cards. BeleniX includes
these drivers by default.
