yes. When solaris was opensourced on June 2005, the code was exactly 
same as Solaris 10.
 From then on all the development are happening on Opensolaris.

Now solaris is opensourced. So anybody can pick the source code, build 
their own opensolaris version and distribute.
We have some Opensolaris distribution. Solaris Express (sun's build) , 
Belenix, Nexenta, Schillix, Marc Tux ..
It is something similar to Different flavors of Linux like Red Hat, 
Suse, Fedora etc..
All of them take the same code and build their own distros (by adding 
some applications)
