[ug-bosug] starter kit problems ....

I was reaaaaaaaaaallllllllllyyyyy happy to get my hands on that starter kit but but but.... had the following problems.....:((
my laptop is a HP NX6125 (check up the config.... i am too lazy to write it here)
1. the install always starts in text mode ( no probs)
2. After the install the system just reboots and when i select the Solaris option from GRUB it just keeps resarting .... think it gives some error but it gets off before i can read it....
3. the ilearn CD is a copy of the i-install one...... :((((

Any one who can tell me whats happening after the install
