What is the device ID of your card ? Most realtek cards are supported by 
the rtls driver shipped with the vanilla express distibution.

A tidbit in similar context:
I have found a few issues with the nfo driver on this site (for the 
nvidia nforce chipsets - Device ID 0x269 in particular). The system 
freezes every once in a while when there is network traffic. The latest 
solaris driver "nge" supports this card without the above side effect.
