We had our February meeting Tuesday night. Here's a report:
http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/eric_boutilier?entry=last_night_s_opensolaris_user
Alec -- we decided to defer discussing the web site in favor of
discussing it online (this mail-list) instead.
All -- David Braun had a good suggestion to start a special moderated
announce mail-list. That way people will know that when a message is
posted to the announce list it's important to read it right away (as
opposed to general discussion). I'll get that going soon.
As we mentioned previously, the next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday
evening March 7th. It's pretty firm but not 100% official yet. Planned
speakers are Sun DTrace guy, Jim Fiori, and "Motorola/SMF/FMA guy"
Russell Rezaian.
Where do you guys want to have the meeting? Should we try downtown this
time? Or does that matter? The main problem with downtown is somebody
with connections to a meeting room would have to step up. Anyone? UIC?
Depaul? Other?
If we want to meet in the 'burbs again, Chip says his employer is O.K.
with us meeting there again (Laurus Technologies in Itasca near Rohlwing
and Irving Park Rd.)
