Are you trying to install BeleniX ? Are you using the FOSS.IN or
DeveloperIQ cd ?
If so then I'd suggest to have a look at
http://www.genunix.org/distributions/belenix_site/deviq.html
In BeleniX, if your harddisk does not already have a Solaris2
partition it will run the
fdisk utility after you choose the harddisk. This will enable you to
do the partitioning.
A partition is not the Same as a slice. First you create a harddisk
partition for
OpenSolaris in the partition table. The OpenSolaris will create
additional sub-partitions
called slices within that partition.

Yes. Though we want to have a proper installer first before
implementing a GUI.

It will be included in the next version. I had to implement support
for compressing
the contents of the CD otherwise there is just not enough space in a
700MB cd to
have a complete OS, applications and a big desktop environment like KDE.
I am planning for 2 CD images, one with Xfce and Java Desktop (GNOME
2.12)
and another with KDE.
