I agree with you (and there were also other voices) trying to persuade 
me that these should be open.

I have actually nothing against being open, and I'm also always 
promoting it, but there are things that better remain closed until the 
peers confirm that they can be open.

When we are for example trying to invite spekers or book a room for 
presentations, we all (who are coordinating the event) need to be CCed 
and informed what's going on, but the other party of the discussion 
might not necessarily agree to take the discussion to ug-czosug at osol 
just because we never know what they think at all. From my point of 
view, emailing them and CCing the public list might even seem a bit 
offensive and presure-generating on them, which is not at all what we 
want to do... perception matters....
