I'm a Linux user, and not quite comfortable with OpenSolaris, as yet ;) Could somebody point me to a packcage manager that I can download to install packages from someplace ? I would prefer something like pkg-get or apt-get, that resolves dependencies between packages and installs them.

The SVR4 packaging tools for BeleniX 0.4.1 are separately available.
You need to grab the files pkgtools.tar.bz2 from the following URL:

   http://sarovar.org/project/showfiles.php?group_id=360

Just put the file into the root partition "/" and extract it from there.
It will copy the binaries into the correct places.

Then you can go to www.blastwave.org and get hold of the pkg-get
package and install it using pkgadd. This will allow you to pull software
packages from an online repository and will auto-resolve dependencies.
But be warned that it can download a lot of packages.

In addition you also need to perform the step to install a patch using
patchlibC. This is documented in the BeleniX FAQ here:

   http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/Belenix_FAQ

   See question #1.

Moinak.
