Perhaps you can help me.  I have been looking for a Solaris User Group in Los Angeles so that I can post a contract position I'm trying to fill.  If this can be posted on your group page, I'd appreciated it.  Please keep me informed should you start your User Group.  Job description appears below:

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

o	Sun Solaris Support – Support of Sun Solaris computers with OS v. 8, 9 and 10. Support of Sun hardware systems, including a SAN. 

o	Server Software Support – Software installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair for applications, on Sun systems. Applications include Oracle 10g database. Assist with testing of new software components; escalation of issues through appropriate help desks. Documentation of issues and resolutions using work order tracking software.

o	Peripheral System Support – Hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair for peripheral devices including printers, CD-Rom drives, DVD drives, handheld systems, scanners, etc.

o	Evaluate New Products and Services - Evaluate, test and provide detailed reports and recommendations on new hardware and software applications and services.

o	Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer – This includes working with CLIENT technical staff and facilitating the transition of support responsibilities to CLIENT technical staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 
Consultant must meet all of the following requirements:

1.	Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years maintaining Solaris 8, 9 and 10 systems.
2.	Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years maintaining Sun Sparc hardware.
3.	Two (2) years experience in the last three (3) years supporting Sun Cluster Server 3.
4.	Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years supporting and trouble shooting Veritas Volume Manager.
5.	Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years supporting and trouble shooting Veritas NetBackup.
6.	Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years administering and managing Sun StorEdge 6320.
7.	Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years performing forensic investigations, system recovery, and security hardening on Solaris 8 and 9 OS.
8.	One or more of the following certifications:
a.	Sun Certified Solaris System Administrator I
b.	Sun Certified Solaris System Administrator II
9.	 Two years experience providing Sun Solaris administration support for Oracle 10g applications.
