I suggest you start by doing what I would do - docs.sun.com and google
(or whatever search). If you run into trouble getting something done, ping
us with the specific problem. That is better than one person doing all the
searching and typing. Now you know that there are solutions available.

Doing the file server for eg: is just a few commands, so is NIS. LDAP is
a bit more complicated as would IMAP with filters be. Listing out individual
steps for each of these would be equally labourious.
