I would like to see something like tex/latex/(custom markup)
translator to ODF. In a totally benign incident I was trying to
convert my ascii only resume to odt with the least amount of
pain. Turns out (to my knowledge) there is no avoiding opening
the GUI to make something bold or italicized.

Even if it understood only *bold*, /italic/ and _underlined_
that would be usable.
