Hi,

I have a Solaris SNV_33 & Win XP dual boot and recently, I lost my grub
configuration due to a Win XP reinstall.
Now, when I boot with the install DVD and enter the single user shell, the
intalled OS is recognised and mounted read-write on /a.

But, when I do a
# cd /a/boot
#/a/sbin/grubinstall -m stage1 stage2 /dev/dsk/c1d0s0

I get the error message:
c1d0s2 is not a char special device.

Couldn't get much info on the net. Could someone help?

TIA,
shreekanth
