When i do a dmesg | grep ether it too shows nothing. Same with ps -eaf | grep dhcp when i checked with the compatability tool it says that Opensolaris has driver that is compatable. When i run ifconfig -a I only get lo0: info I somehow need to get the card info or the card recognized by ifconfig inorder to get Eth0 or what ever it is called here working. Can I get any advice???? In this case, I think you need Masayuki Murayama's vfe driver from http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/ - I haven't tried this myself, but I've every confidence it'll work fine.. cheers, tim From Tim.Foster at Sun.COM Fri Feb 16 05:07:48 2007 From: Tim.Foster at Sun.COM (Tim Foster) Date: Fri, 16 Feb 2007 13:07:48 +0000 Subject: [ug-discuss] The talks & presentations page needs some love Message-ID: <1171631268.1146.95.camel@cranialtrauma> Hi all, I'm writing to ask for some help - we've got a talks & presentations page at: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/os_user_groups/os-presentations/ which pretty much hasn't been updated since Sept. 2006 (co-incidentally, the same time my daughter was born, can you tell I've had my hands full! :-) Would the leaders of the various OpenSolaris user groups have a spare few minutes to update this page for their meetings held since Sept? I started updating the page this morning, but realised that this just isn't scaling very well across the 48 or so user-groups that exist... I know that all of the user-groups have their own pages, and do maintain their own lists of presentations, but I still think it's worthwhile having a page of links like this in one place. The format for each entry is simple - one table row per presentation, html formatted thus: -- 1st January 1970 Ken & Dennis present UNIX MYOSUG slides + photos + etc. [Keyword] -- The keyword can be anything, just have a look to see if there's existing an keyword that covers your topic before creating a new one (the idea being, that since the list uses sortable tables, we sort by keyword and quickly find talks related to each other) Anyway, if you can help keep that page updated, that'd be really excellent - thanks! cheers, tim -- Tim Foster, Sun Microsystems Inc, Solaris Engineering Ops http://blogs.sun.com/timf From young.j.song at sun.com Fri Feb 16 11:01:02 2007 From: young.j.song at sun.com (Young Joo Pintaske) Date: Fri, 16 Feb 2007 11:01:02 PST Subject: [ug-discuss] Please help review Message-ID: <8690940.1171652492071.JavaMail.Twebapp@oss-app1> Hi!
