Sorry, public communication is fine with me.  I just didn't want to undermine your leadership by being publicly critical of what I perceived as a nonsensical action.  I figured you were still getting your act together for this new endeavor and needed room to grow.  By your call to communicate publicly, I perceive now that you place a high importance on building a sense of "community" and mutual awareness between all participants.
