[ug-glug] 2008 OGB Elections: Heads Up

Mark I agree with your sentiments and Eric's responses. I would offer to help maintain the wiki in that if people add info to the wiki, I don't mind cleaning it up for uniformity, or if you want me to add info for you please e-mail me and I'll post and format it.

I added the members section to get it rolling but I'm reluctant to add any one on there as some people value their online privacy as much as possible. So if you'd like to show your participation online please edit the page or send me a blurb and links with an implied authorization to add you.

I'm not a big attendance guy, so I consider e-mail only as grounds for membership, I'd really like the wiki to give people the sense of membership even if they can't make meetings.

I'll try and make a 1/15 meeting by 8. For a Wednesday 1/16 meeting I'm available.

Alec

Mark -- Thanks for the discussion starter! Here's my 2 cents...

Makes sense to me.

+1. It'd be great though if someone besides me or Alec -- the primary
(only?) editors of the GLUG wiki thus far -- volunteered to do it.

I've always thought of the mailing-list roster as essentially the
membership roster. That's an extremely low bar to membership though,
so I'm open to something different.

Strongly agree. I assume you're referring to this page:
http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/GLUG_Members
