in seinem Blog hatte er schon einen Hinweis auf die CeBIT Ausgabe der Zeitschrift iX gegeben. In diesem Heft wird sich eine DVD mit einer Zusammenstellung von Solaris Express Software (x86/x64) befinden.

According to the most recent Blog entry by Uwe Drewanz, the CeBIT issue of the german magazin iX will be containing a DVD with a selection of Solaris Express software (x86/x64).

This is a rough translation of the part describing the contents of the DVD (blame me for translation errors)

* Solaris Express: Community Release build 31dd (= w/o RealPlayer 10, because has to be removed due to legal reasons)
* OpenSolaris sources for build 31
* Sun Studio 11 Development Tools
  * Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8
  * Sun Java System Directory Server 5 2005Q4
* Solaris Software Companion 1/06
* Selections of tols from the OpenSolaris community (powernow, frkit, inetmenu, batstat, WLAN drivers)
* Prototype of  BrandZ that enables to create a Solaris Containers for Linux Applications, to execute Linux application in a Solaris container.
* Lots of documentation and hints how to use the DVD
