   do this:
   ifconfig -a plumb
   ifconfig -a

What is the output you get ?

You can download and install the OSS drivers from:
   http://www.4front-tech.com/download.cgi

But before doing so please post the output of
   /usr/X11/bin/scanpci

Solaris always operates in mixed mode. That is the kernel will be
64Bit but
most of the user utilities and applications will be 32bit except for
some stuff.
Generally not all apps benefit by being blindly compiled to 64bit.
The 64bit
kernel transparently supports both 32bit and 64bit applications. To
see what
more your system is running, execute:

   isainfo -v

Really weird. Linux won't have any effect. It can happily multiboot
with Windows and
   Linux.

Are you getting a compile error ?
